Look!

I have probably mentioned it,
but I love seeing something a little
differently than I've seen it, before.

These are some dishcloths I knitted.

Having a digital camera is so handy
for these photos.  If I don't like
or want what I "shot," I just delete.
No charge for more film or printing.  :)

This is quite funny because I hated
digital, at first.
The pictures looked jagged, to me.

How things change!

Dark Foggy Day Has Pretty Spots

In December we got a package from
my sister and brother-in-law.
I asked the UPS driver if he was
sure he was on the right side of our road.

The paperwhites are blooming, now.

Even though the day was so dark with clouds and fog that
we needed to use lights,
the evening turned this beautiful blue
and my camera actually captured it! :)

What is It?

Is it art?
Is it something you may have
seen?
Do you recognise it?

This is how I did it.

First, find an object.
This one reminded me of a small
pitcher we used to have,
lo, these many years ago.
So, (sigh) I bought it.

Next, take a picture at an
unusual angle.

I set my camera for macro,
removed the top of the pitcher
and
poked my lens in,
pointing as close to straight down
as I could manage.

Then, of course, mess with the
colors, the pixels and the composition.
I used GIMP 2.

Eat Violas!

Sorry to be so silly,
but if I can find something
pretty about an ordinary object,
then, with my limited resources,
add to it's beauty,
just think
what God is making
of you and me! :)

Compromise

The fog was muddy grey.
I thought I'd try to capture it.
Instead, I got this lovely blue!

You knew I would play with it,
didn't you?!
Getting a photo of what I see
is not that easy.
Accepting the fun
of what I got
is, perhaps, a compromise.
Sometimes,
it is good to compromise.

What's Going on, Here?

LOL
This is what can happen
when you try to
photograph
a little birdie you just
sewed up
on a breezy day.

Thank You, Son.

Happy Mothers' Day
to each
and
all.
Though
your kids be
big or
small,
God,
who watches
over all
bless you each.
Bless you all.

Blurry Boy

No,
I have not taken up ghost hunting!

This is what can happen when one
tries to capture a photo of a beloved
six year old grand nephew, unaware!

Yesterday

I made this picture in the snow.
I didn't get it posted, yesterday.
Now it is nearly tomorrow.

Fourth Sunday of Advent

Somehow it seems appropriate to light
candles in honor of the Light of the World.

Blue Skies?

It looked even bluer than this to me, Saturday morning.  We had been told to expect snow, so I wasn't really fooled, but sure could have been!

Cloudy Day

God shows His glory
In so many ways
We must look for it
In our darkest days.

Festive?

Hmmm...?

If this was on a tiny Ford,
I would get it.
It was on a Dodge pickup truck.

Myst?

What did I miss?
Where is the mist?
Hmm...
