Seven Little Swatches and How They Shrunk - Swatches Two and Three

I found a project begun.

The label said "wool"

and the price was right

so I brought it home

and ravelled it.

Knitted swatch
I did not take the time to
straighten out the yarn
that had already been worked.
This is a very thick yarn
and the "bumps"
remained prominent. 

First time through the washer -
quite satisfying

Second time - a little more shrinkage.

I wove a swatch on cardboard.

Quite a satisfactory result

and a little improvement.
