Seven Little Swatches and How They Shrunk - Swatches Four and Five

Woven, believe  it or not, on
cardboard from a ravelled sweater
-thus the bumps

Washed once

and twice, it shows shrinkage
and is thickened nicely.
The hairs are from another
wool.

Tried weft faced weaving with
the same yarn.
I used a needlework frame.
I had to cut it off and knot
the warp, so it has a fringe,
but that will shrink,
won't it?

Perhaps because of the closer weave,
the shrinkage doesn't impress,
the first time.  It did tighten
up the weave, though.

The second time it tightened more
and the fringe became far less
fringe like. :)
