Cutting Up

It was one of those mornings.
Having eaten breakfast
 and answered Dad's
phone call,
I felt like crawling into bed.

I knew I must make some effort to
stay up.  It did not have to be
a productive effort.
It did have to interest me
enough to keep me up,
or
lead to something that would.
There was the end of a piece of paper
I had squared up.
There was my craft knife,
a self healing mat and
a clipboard to hold it all together.

First, I doodled a little.

Next I decided to go 3D.

My colored pencils were handy.
It didn't take long to doodle one of
my favorite images...
Then I slowly, carefully cut it out.

Have you ever been enchanted
by your own work?

I will probably search and try to
learn whether different papers
are easier to cut in a cleaner line.

For, a tiny doodle, I don't think it's
too bad. :)
