Of What Use is a Doodle?

I promise I won't stay on
the doodle theme forever
and ALL the time.

I am excited by the
creative possibilities
of a simple doodle.

Doodled page of my current
blank book.

The simplest doodle
on the page.
Obviously, I photographed
the page.
Then I cut away all but
the part that I wanted to
mess around with.
(er.. the part with which
I wanted to mess about...)

I loaded it into Gimp.
There are other image
manipulation programs.
Gimp was free.
I added some color.
I multiplied the image
and turned alternate
tiles upside down.

Then, I multiplied the image, again.
That could have been done in one
step, but I liked the simpler
image and wanted to save it.

I tried to think of what it could
be used for.
Perhaps some fabric.
How about the front
of a note card?
If I took out the middle,
maybe a mat?
You know, for a picture
or quote. :)

Ooo!  A window pane checked fabric!
Or, maybe some tiles?

  1. There are places on line where you can order fabric with your homemade print on it.... it's really expensive though! I like the melon looking sketch - that would make a great fabric print!

    1. Someday, I may treat myself to an original fabric of my own. They are expensive, 'tis true. Which one, Eva Girl? The upper right?
