Still Giving Thanks, November Eleventh

That is my father, on
the right.
To his right is
one of several people
that Grandma provided
a home for, besides of
her own children.

I'm so thankful for
those men and
women who served
and are serving.

    1. He would laugh. The first time one of my friends called him handsome, I had to look, again, at the picture she was looking at. After all, he was just "Dad" and he said he was homely as a mud fence or a board fence, alternately. :)

  2. my husband was in Vietnam. He was in the airforce, stationed in Florida. There was a Christian couple who took him, and others in for meals, and for fellowship. They became his adopted parents, and we got to see them this past summer! What a delight to see my husband get to see them after so many years! They were so good to take a young man away from home, and make him feel loved.

    1. I do not know what happened to the reply I wrote, Christina. Please tell your husband I thank him for his service. I'm so glad you got to meet that gracious couple. :)
