Art ? Project

Confession time!
I'm an easy mark for blank books.
Especially pretty blank books,
like this one,
at a price of $1.35,
must be resisted.
Yesterday, I did not resist.
The end paper and
at least two pages are missing.
I bought it anyway.

So, it has to be used!
I decided to "art"
in this book every day.
Then I decided that was too
much pressure on myself.
I decided to muck about
with this marred book,
any old way... as long
as it comes somewhere
close to art-ish-ness.
And fills up FAST!

You see, I have books that have
remained blank for years.
I have other books that were
started...
...and that's about all.

I had no excuse for buying another
blank book.
So, I made up an excuse.
This book was already
messed up.
This book can not be "ruined."
It shall be used,
it shall,
and that right smartly.

So, here are the first four pages.
I used Crayola Watercolor Pencils
for the first two pages.
Page three is a scribble.
I then colored over
some of said scribble
with fine point markers.
On page four I glued
a collage of
crochet thread
and hearts
cut from fabric scraps --
quickly, no perfectionism
allowed.
I discovered,
bad as my "art" is,
my photographs of
my art are worse.
I blame the light source. :)

  1. I love your creativity! Be spontaneous and just enjoy your doodling and whatever else you decide to do. No seriousness allowed. Life has enough serious already, right?

  2. Thanks, Bama! I guessed you would understand what this is about. :) No serious art in this book.
