He, he, he! We always liked stomping on the milk jugs and cans that were going in the recycling bins : ) I prefer to hang dry my laundry too - saves so much money on electricity! But, I do love my dishwasher and use it once a day.
I hear ya! LOL! I have to admit to preferring an electric dryer, only because I did it the old-fashioned way for far too many years. I have a dishwasher and we do use it, but I still do a lot of hand washing too.
There did not seem to be room for a dishwasher in our kitchen, Eva Girl and Bama. Also, we have a shallow well. I think I would use one, if I had it, though. I use the electric dryer way too often. It sure is nicer than the racks and lines in the basement and to be able to do laundry any old time is great. :)
Oh, I know, Serenata! Now that I have one, I use my electric dryer more than I really need to do. :) I was standing at the sink (was I washing dishes?) and thinking of how to compact the trash more than it was (we pay per bag for disposal) when this post came to mind. It made me smile, so I thought I would do it.

ReplyDeleteI would never get the washing dry in winter if I didn't have an electric dryer - it really is great! Otherwise, my appliances are just like yours!
