Around Our House, Today

My tete-a-tete daffodils turned out to be a good investment.
Still blooming after two weeks.

Sure hope that philodendron is as
hardy as it claims.
Think my poor aloe needs repotting?

Dishes need to be done.
I did some, later.

I started to clean up the "junk drawer."
I ended up pulling everything out

I don't think everything will go back in!

Kitchen table holds a few tasks.

There are bills to pay.

I set down my latest "therapy" doodle.

This pattern was borrowed from
a friend many years ago.
I thought I returned it...

A little reminder of God's care.
No, not the humidifier, itself.
I'm to be paid for my opinion on
it.  This came just when a couple
of surprise expenses came up.

Feeling like gearing up for some
real reorganising & I came upon
these on a good sale.
Further, it was my birthday.
I have a discount card for which I
pay $10/year.  This gives me a 10%
discount.  On my birthday I get
a 25% discount.  I bought SEVEN
of these!  :o

Gotta do something about that.
I got sick of paying for liquid hand soap.
I tried a tip and it worked, but now the
stuff is too thick.
Guess I'll have to try boiling up some water
and try again.

(grate a bar of soap - boil about a cup of
water for each ounce of soap you grated - I used
a 3 point something bar of ivory - remove water
from heat, stir in grated soap until no solids
remain -let set for six hours or more )

I already had to do it over,
because my first batch cooled to
too thick a consistency.

I found that the apothecary jar I used for
soap in January was too tough to get open.
Glass shards in the bathroom would not be
good!  So, I tried this thrift store find.
I liked it so much I added another for
some moisturiser and matches.  :)

There's an afghan I need to finish in
less that four weeks.
OH, MY!

Here's a dolly who needs to be re homed.
Now where did I put her socks
and shoes?
She's a real cutie, Bama, but I,
like you, need to find some breathing
space in my life and home.

OK, that's enough for now.  :)
