Snow and Soup

We had snow, for a change.

(For those not in on the
joke, we've had snow
often, this season.)

So I cooked carrots,

(nothing like a picture to remind
me that the stove needs cleaning - again.)

celery,

onions,

and potatoes.

Then I added vegetable broth,

bay leaves, basil and lots of parsley.

Most of the snow fell while I wasn't looking.
I was a bit surprised, this morning. :)

(We got more "pretty" today as my son was cleaning up our accumulation. It was gorgeous.)
