Birthplace

I was born in a hospital in New England after World War II.  Dad was born before the great depression in this house, which didn't look like this, at the time.  I got a little teary, looking at the place.

The house used to have grey
siding and porches.

I could hardly believe
that the old mulberry tree
is still there.
I remember eating the fruit
of this tree, when I was
quite young.

The barn doesn't seem to have
a cow, or any chickens.

It was good to see, even
though so much has changed.

  1. It looks like someone has been taking good care of the old farm : ) It's a charming house and barn. I got to see it a few years ago...

  2. Whoever has the house and the little piece of land it is on is taking lovely care of it. The barn belongs to someone else and seems to be doing fine, as well. Some of the old buildings are gone, which gives a bit of a shock! :)
